49th Armored Division, Texas Army National Guard's Homecoming Party

After an historic peacekeeping mission in the Balkans, The 49th Armored Division returns home to Texas. Rudy Mikeska's Bar-B-Q was proud to be a sponsor for this event.

The program cover shows a picture of our Nations Flag flying over the country of Bosnia

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison was present to welcome the troops home to Texas.

When the honor guard posted the colors, our son Timothy noticed the soldiers saluting and returned their salute. (very touching moment.... for his mother and I)

Shawn and Rolando are preparing to cut Brisket and Sausage for the 1,500 hungry soldiers and their families.

Timothy and Candy are watching me serve Major General Fred Rees of the National Guard Bureau in Washington D.C.

My good friend, retired LTC Ed Komandosky is pictured on the right getting some barbecue from his own hometown.

The Adjutant General of Texas, Major General Daniel James with his beautiful wife Dana.
