Big News !!!
The Food Network will be at Tim Mikeska's home filming a "Texas Barbecue" Special for the Food Nations Show with Chef/Host Bobby Flay!

Filming will take place on Sunday November 12th. It will air at a later date. The show will also feature Tim's mother, Joy Mikeska with a few of her vast 60 year compilation of recipes. The Food Network will film Tim cooking Beef Brisket, Mikeska Brand Spicy Pork Sausage, Baby Back Pork Ribs, and Lamb (mutton) Ribs. Also featured will be; Mikeska's Bar-B-Q Sauce, Cole Slaw, and Czech Sour Kraut. The show will feature Tim cooking at home for his family and a few friends. He will demonstrate the fine art of smoking meats on home style pits. He will also demonstrate the mixing of seasoning rubs, making Bar-B-Q sauce, cole slaw and other Central Texas regional dishes.

On the left is Mike Lehr, local Farm Bureau President, Commissioner of Agriculture Susan Combs and local Farm Leader Steven Vorwerk (I taught Steven religious education when he was in the Catholic CCD High School Program, many years ago !!!)
