  What do you get when you combine allot of beer, 30 big Harley Motorcycles, 50 leather clad bikers (with their ladies), 125 guests dancing to country music and Rudy Mikeska's Bar-B-Q ??

You get a Merle Haggard Party at Willie Nelson's "Luck Texas Ranch" near the Perdenales River northwest of Austin.
I received a call about 3 weeks ago from my friend Billy Minick, the proprietor of the famous "Billy Bob's" nightclub in Forth Worth. He told me that Merle would be in Austin in January to have a wedding & music video shot at Willie Nelson's Ranch.
Later, Rick Smith the record producer called to finalize the plans. I have known Billy Minick for about 3 years. We have mutual business interests in Las Vegas and he is indeed a "Fine Texan" and superb businessman. I met Rick in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo party held at the Silverton Hotel. Rick and I, along with some of my Las Vegas staff had an "interesting" evening touring the nightlife of Las Vegas in a 30 foot stretch Chevy 1 ton dually limousine.
So, I told both Billy and Rick that I could handle this party and that I would spread out a fancy buffet for this occasion. They just wanted the basic's ...... Beef Brisket, Mikeska's Homemade Sausage, Boneless Smoked Pork Loin, and Smoked Chicken Halves. Along with this we had our Bar-B-Q Sauce, Hot Buttered Potatoes, Cole Slaw, Spicy Red Beans, Pickles, Onions, Peppers, Homemade Bread and of course..... Banana Pudding!

We had a great time...... I think these pictures will prove it.

One thing that makes our business different from most barbecue caterers is versatility. Ten years ago I designed a mobile catering kitchen to compliment our fleet of catering vans and mobile bar-b-q pits. This 22,000 lb trailer is fully equipped to fry catfish, chicken fried steaks and fried chicken. It can also grill steaks, seafood and refrigerate over 1,500 lbs of product. This trailer has been all across this country from the Atlantic ocean to the Pacific. HRH Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh (husband to Queen Elizabeth) watched his Prime Rib being prepared on board this trailer. His comment was...."things are quite impressive in Texas" The Prince was visiting the United States Equestrian Center in Pea Pack, New Jersey which Rudy Mikeska's Bar-B-Q was contracted to cater.
